| The Moderma Flex product range offers a choice of closed (clear and opaque), standard and maxi drainable (clear and opaque), midi, mini and maxi drainable (opaque only), and urostomy pouches (clear and opaque). The flat skin barriers of the Moderma Flex products incorporate unique air space indentations. These numerous indentations in the skin barrier allow the skin to rest and recover with each application without compromising adhesion. Moderma Flex closed and drainable pouches have a very effective activated Carbon filter with special barriers to resist liquids and oils thus ensuring longer filter life. The pouches have a non-woven Comfort Backing for the ultimate in comfort. |

SoftFlex Skin Barrier
SoftFlex is a slim and highly flexible hydrocolloid skin barrier that provides gentle adherence to skin. It is designed for more frequently removed pouches or when the skin is very fragile (e.g. elderly ostomates). |
 |
Air Space Indentations
The numerous indentations in the skin barrier allow the skin to rest and recover with each application without compromising adhesion. The skin barrier is designed to vary the position of in-contact-skin with every application and because less skin is in contact with the skin barrier, pouch removal is a comfortable experience. |
 |
Ultra Slim Skin Barrier Construction
Skin barrier is ultra slim in order to provide greater flexibility and mouldability to body contours for better fit and comfort. |
 |
Tapered Skin Barrier Edge
Tapered skin barrier is thinner at the edges and thicker in the centre around the stoma. Because of the thinner edges, tape is not required and the skin barrier is more flexible and conformable. |
 |
Skin Barrier Cutting Guide
This feature consists of concentric circles on a thin plastic film for cutting the skin barrier opening to the size and shape of the stoma. |
 |
Cut-to-Fit Skin Barrier
Allows the user to cut the skin barrier opening to the size and shape of the stoma. |
 |
Pre-Cut Skin Barrier Stoma Opening
The skin barrier is supplied with an opening that allows the user to apply it without any preparation. |
 |
Integral Gas Filter
Hollister's patented gas filter deodorises and vents gas from within a pouch. It passes gas through a specially designed device consisting of activated carbon. |
 |

 |
Transparent Pouch Film

 |
Odour Barrier Quiet Film

| Lock 'n Roll Options |
- Integrated Closure
The Lock 'n Roll closure is
located at
the tail of
the pouch.
There is no
more need to
use a pouch
clamp since
there are plastic
fasteners attached
to the tail
of the pouch
to ensure security
when locked
into place.
Roll the tail
of the pouch
three times
in the same
direction,
press and Feel
the Seal.
- Controlled Draining
When the pouch is
full, simply
pinch the sides
of the outlet
for easy control
of content
flow. The firm
reinforcing
strips allow
the pouch to
shut as soon
as you stop
pinching the
sides of the
outlet.
- Plastic Fasteners
Lock 'n Roll pouches contain state-of-the-art
plastic fasteners that lock into place
when they are squeezed together. You
can Feel the Seal,
which ensures the closure is secure.
There are 2,580 plastic fasteners on
every pouch. There is no fabric or
Velcro to absorb the pouch contents
so it makes cleaning easy.

| CONVEXITY |
Integrated Convexity
This is the outward curving of the portion of the pouch that has contact with the skin, usually the skin barrier. The convex shape provides form to the skin barrier and support to the skin surrounding the stoma. |
 |
| Convex skin barriers are used for stomas that are flush, recessed or retracted for any number of reasons. These skin barriers are either cut-to-fit or pre-cut and are available in many of the above solutions. |
 |
| Moderma Flex convex pouches are without air space indentations, but come with unique CushionFit convexity to protect both the stoma and the peristomal skin. Convex pouches are usually for people with problem stomas to guard against unwanted leaks where the stoma is partially or fully recessed. Convex pouches provide gentle pressure around the stoma to push it forward enabling content to enter the pouch without coming into contact with the skin. |
 |
| Convex appliances should be used in consultation with your Stomal Therapy Nurse or Healthcare Professional. |
