| AUSTRALIA |
| The Commonwealth Government fully subsidises stoma appliances and most accessories. The only cost involved is a small membership fee you pay to your Ostomy Association to help meet the cost of distributing your appliances to you. Freight may be chargeable, please check with your Association. |
 |
| To receive subsidised appliances, you must hold a Membership Entitlement Card Supplied by the Health Insurance Commission (HIC). This card can be applied for and obtained through your local Ostomy Association. Your Stomal Therapy Nurse can assist you with joining your nearest Ostomy Association. |

| Products are made available after the Stomal Therapy Nurse, or relevant District Health Board places an order through the Hollister distributor in Auckland. |
 |
| These orders are then either delivered direct to your home or may be picked up from the local hospital. Unlike Australia, the Ostomy Societies (Associations) do not order and supply goods. They are support services in the area and can be found with the following link. Please contact your local chapter for information on forthcoming meetings. |
