The ActiFlo Indwelling Bowel Catheter System is intended for diversion of faecal matter to minimize contact with the patient's skin, to facilitate the collection of faecal matter for patients requiring bowel care, to provide access for colonic irrigation, and to administer enema/medications.
The approved labeling for this device states it is not intended for use longer than 29 days.
