Colostomy/Ileostomy
- Skin irritation
- Recurrent leaks around the pouch or skin barrier
- Excessive bleeding of the stoma
- Blood in the stool
- A bulge in the skin around the stoma
- A stoma that appears to be getting larger
- A stoma that appears to be getting smaller

Urostomy
- Any sign of a urinary tract infection, including dark, cloudy urine, strong-smelling urine, fever, back pain (where kidneys are located), loss of appetite, nausea, or vomiting)
- Skin irritation
- Urine crystals on or around the stoma
- Warty, discoloured skin around the stoma
- Recurrent leaks around the pouch or skin barrier
- Excessive bleeding of the stoma
- Blood in the urine
- A bulge in the skin around the stoma
- A stoma that appears to be getting larger
