FIT User Privacy Notice

The Hollister User Privacy Notice has been put into place to strengthen your privacy rights. This is part of our ongoing commitment to be transparent about how we use your data and keep it safe.

What information does this app collect?

To use this app, you will be asked to provide information regarding the stoma and peristomal skin in question, including, for example, surgery date, stoma type, stoma construction, stoma opening location and peristomal topography. The information you provide will be used to generate a report to guide you with barrier selection. This information will not be stored by the app or provided to Hollister. It will be deleted as soon as the app is closed. This app does not collect any personal information about you or the users of the app.

Is Hollister using any tracking tools to collect information about me?

Yes, we use tracking tools, but we do not use them to collect personal information. Through tools provided by Facebook, we may collect or receive information from the app and use that information to receive analytics. This information, referred to as ‘Event Data’, includes actions taken within the app which include, but are not limited to, app installation, time spent within the app, mobile device use type.

The ‘Event Data’ is used to prepare reports on the impact of advertising campaigns and to generate analytics and insights through the use of the app. The ‘Event Data’ will not follow the user.

Why does Hollister need my information?

Hollister uses the data collected to provide you the best experience within the products and services we offer, which includes using data to improve your experience within the app. Hollister uses the information to help improve the app and better understand its usage by the app users.

How is my information used?

Hollister uses the data collected in the app to track:

  • The number of app installations
  • Time spent within the app
  • Mobile device use type

Can I opt out of sharing my information from the Hollister FIT app?

No. The only way to opt out of sending the app’s usage data to a third party would be to uninstall the app from your device.
