I am Portuguese, but was born and grew up in Germany, and later moved to Spain. I was called about a great opportunity at Hollister in 2008 to join as the product manager to help grow the continence care division in Spain. I wasn’t sure I wanted to leave my current position, but during my interviews we had enthusiastic conversations that lasted such a long time that I became fascinated about the people and the project. The more Hollister associates I met, the more convinced I was about this unique opportunity—so here I am.
I’ve been working in a global marketing manager role where I have had the opportunity to use all my languages, country and cultural experiences. Innovation happens in every department here at Hollister. Professionally and personally I learn something new every day—I’m never bored here.
What separates Hollister from other companies is the lack of hierarchy. At some organizations, you only know the president from a photo. Here you have access to the top leaders all the time and are encouraged to be candid. They are involved in your career and are interested in how you’re doing.
