| To help commemorate World Ostomy Day 2009, Hollister sponsored a global photo contest in conjunction with the International Ostomy Association (IOA). |

| From around the world, hundreds of people who have had ostomy surgery submitted personal photos for the contest — with the theme "Reaching Out." Hollister received almost 600 photographs from 19 countries! |
|
| A panel of judges — including professional graphic designers, media developers, and photographers — selected 20 winning photographs. Each of the 20 winning photographers received a certificate of recognition, and each photographer's IOA chapter received an award of $250. |
|
| From the 20 winning photographs, 12 photos were chosen for the 2010 World Ostomy Day Calendar. |
