Hollister Ambassador Presentation Training Resources

Welcome to the Hollister Ambassador Program Training. A Hollister Ambassador is a person living with a spinal cord injury (SCI) who tells his or her personal story to help inspire others with SCI to look for ways to make positive life adjustments after injury. As an Ambassador, you are a part of the variety of resources available through the Secure Start services program and a voice in the community — providing an inspirational account to your peers, as they transition to independence in decision making and in activity.

Learning to cope with a SCI may be the biggest challenge ever faced by the person with SCI and his or her family. Knowing that they are not alone in such a difficult situation is comforting. A very important part of recovery and motivation for some people with SCI is the encouragement and inspiration that you, as a Hollister Ambassador, can bring by telling your personal story of success after your injury and a personal account of your experience with the Secure Start services program.

In the world of public speaking, first impressions can last a long time. Having a complete, polished, and impactful 15 minute presentation is very important. As you build your presentation, or perhaps when you need a refresher between presentations, the following training videos — including a complete presentation featuring all the videos ("The Whole Webinar Video") — are available for your support.
