As the coronavirus pandemic continues to drastically impact the lives of Canadians from coast to coast to coast, Hollister Limited and Wheelchair Basketball Canada will join forces to celebrate the inspiring efforts and resilient stories of individuals and organizations in the community who are working to improve lives and champion inclusion during these challenging times. Coinciding with National High Five Day on April 15, 2021, the two organizations will host the Hollister & Wheelchair Basketball Canada Community Celebration – a virtual event to recognize outstanding Canadians making a difference in their communities through the power of sport.

“We are proud to support Wheelchair Basketball Canada and are committed to helping adapted athletes thrive,” said Marc Beauchamp, Country Manager, Hollister Canada. “The values of Wheelchair Basketball Canada and its athletes directly align with Our Mission to make life more rewarding and dignified for the people who use our products and services.”

“We are delighted to welcome Hollister to the wheelchair basketball family and work alongside them to shine a light on the power of the human spirit and celebrate inclusion and community,” said Wendy Gittens, Executive Director of Wheelchair Basketball Canada. “Our organizations are dedicated to making a positive impact in peoples’ lives and we look forward to recognizing the incredible work being done in the wheelchair basketball community and beyond to live and breathe that commitment.”

As part of the new sponsorship, Hollister and WBC will celebrate the amazing stories of individuals and groups working tirelessly to maintain community spirit through sport during the global pandemic, both on and off the field of play.

Under the banners of inclusion and resilience, we encourage Canadians to nominate outstanding individuals and organizations for a virtual high five in the following categories:
